About Us

Founded and registered in 1998, we initially traded as LV Voere or LV Feeds in Kameeldrift East, Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa. In 2007 Dr R van Rheede van Oudtshoorn, practising at Cullinan Animal Hospital and Dr T Hornschuh from Equine Reproduction Services, both veterinarians joined the operation and the business was renamed to Optima Feeds and Vet Shop. Another business, Optima Vet and Feed shop was registered which handles the Rayton operation. Initially the company stocked only Epol Feeds, but over the years the operation expanded and we are now agents for Epol, Alzu, Vitaline, Victory Feeds , Equi Feeds, Spurwing Horse Feeds, Vuma Horse Feeds, IAMS, Montego Dog Feeds, Vets Choice, Hills, Eukanuba, Equus, Driehoek Voere, Capstone, Blenheim, Shamrock etc.

The range of animal feeds has also expanded. We now stock a wide range of production animal feeds which includes the following; horse feed, broiler feed, layer feed, bird feed, dog feed, pig feed, dairy feed, game feed, cattle feed, sheep feed, roughage, ( Lucerne, Teff, Eragrostis, Oats )

The product range has also been expanded and now includes veterinary products, supplements, vaccines, dips, de-wormers to name but a few. We are also assisted by two veterinarians should we not be able to help you.

We deliver from our base in Kameeldrift East, Pretoria and we are active in the following areas, Pretoria East, Rayton, Cullinan, Kameelfontein, Bon Accord, Kyalami, Johannesburg and Krugersdorp areas. The key to our success has been our quality fodder / roughage, quick service and delivery times as well as our incredibly competitive pricing.
